Hate Will Not Make Us Great
Every single day we are constantly bombarded with rumors about people from other schools and even people within our own school. We choose to spend our days talking about other people's lives, and don't deny it because it's true. We are so absorbed with what other people are doing, their actions, and anything and everything they do. And we don't talk nicely about these people at all, it's all negative. A lot of people's main goal, especially at our age, is to make other people feel bad about themselves to make ourselves look better. Like, 'congratulations you made a girl depressed' or she deleted her Twitter or she can't even show her face at school because of what people said about her!. And people still continue to make these people feel like they're worthless.
What more do people want? We don't know people's background or what's going on in other people's heads, they could be on the verge of suicide but we don't know. We just don't know. People make mistakes, everyone does. Are their actions ruining your life? No but people still decide they're going to ruin a life. Most people run on gossip and rumors and what they think is true and they need to know everyone's hookups because they feed off this kind of stuff and make other girls look like "sluts" to make themselves feel better and it makes me so sick. What's the point of calling a girl a slut? What. Is. The. Point. What's it going to do? You're just being a mean person. Everyone hooks up with people. The amount of people they chose to hook up with is none of your fucking business. The word "slut" is a made up word by society and honestly this is 21st century and we're still using words like "slut" "whore" "hoe" to describe a human being?!. No matter who it is, a person is more than just these words. People have their right to make their own decisions, whether they are right or wrong. And the thing is very simple, it's none of your business. Instead, focus on yourself. Choose kindness instead of hatred. Choose talking about your day instead of talking about someone else's. Choose self realization. They've the same value as you.
We live in a world that makes us feel bad about ourselves, and that isn't their fault, but it is our fault if we believe in the perfect world we have to fit in to be accepted by society. Everyone has self worth, everyone has the right to make their own decisions, and everyone is figuring life out just like you are. And you don't want to look back on your life and realize all you ever cared about was the lives of others.
